Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which types of cookies the online store loja.multimac.pt (the "Store") uses, and how you can manage your preferences. This policy complements the Privacy Policy of Multimac Hito Innovation, S.A.
The processing of cookies and other device storage technologies is governed by Portuguese Law no. 41/2004 of 18 August (electronic communications) and by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites place on the user's device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) when visited. They enable the site to function, remember preferences, ensure security and, where the user consents, support analytics and marketing.
In addition to cookies, similar technologies may be used, such as local storage and tracking pixels, which are subject to the same rules.
2. Cookie categories
The Store may use the following categories of cookies:
- Strictly necessary: essential for the operation of the Store and for providing the requested service (for example, session management, security, remembering choices in the proposal process). These do not require consent.
- Functional: allow user preferences to be remembered, such as language (PT/EN), improving the user experience.
- Analytics: collect aggregated statistical information about the use of the Store, to understand and improve performance.
- Marketing: used to present relevant communications and advertisements and to measure their effectiveness.
3. Legal basis
Under Law no. 41/2004 and the GDPR:
- Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent and are used on the basis of the legitimate interest of ensuring the operation of the Store.
- Functional, analytics and marketing cookies are only installed after the user gives free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
4. Managing and withdrawing consent
When first accessing the Store, a consent banner is displayed allowing the user to accept, reject or configure the categories of non-essential cookies. The user may:
- Change or withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings panel available in the Store;
- Configure their browser to block or delete cookies (disabling strictly necessary cookies may impair the operation of the Store).
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out based on consent previously given.

6. Changes to this Policy
Multimac reserves the right to update this Cookie Policy whenever necessary. The version in force is always available in the Store.
